I love having Sarah on my movement journey because she makes it so much fun! The video library she offers is full of different workouts and fun dances to move in so many different ways. Sarah is so supportive, motivating, and helps set attainable goals when I need the extra help or push.

Sarah has been a dedicated coach, mentor, and guiding light in my movement journey since I joined her Together group when it first began in 2020. Sarah understands that every movement journey is very personal, and she is with you through every turn, every detour, and every success! Sarah takes the time and the effort to learn your strengths and weaknesses, and because of this, she is always able to redirect at any point with the support you need to keep moving forward. Sarah will always be there to provide reassurance, motivation, or a gentle reminder of how very capable you have proved to be so far! Her dedication and positive attitude are unmatched! Her presence in this journey has been absolutely amazing, and I have learned so many wonderful ways to stop my inner critic, accept what my body needs, and be thankful for even the smallest amount of progress!

Sarah’s Together group is life changing, and it has created so much growth and change in my health and wellness journey. Coming from the depths of mainstream fitness culture back in 2020, I have watched my mindset and values around fitness change dramatically with Sarah’s help. One of my favorite aspects of this small, tight-knit group is coming together with a diverse group of women (my new friends!) and talking through our paradigm shift of fitness. We have all come from spaces where fitness has been a punishment, “no pain no gain”, a thing you have to do to eat certain foods and wear certain clothing, and something you “have” to do instead of something you “want” to do.

In my 4 year journey with Sarah and the Together girls thus far, I have learned how key a positive mindset is, that we must learn to listen to and respect our bodies, and that movement, no matter how small, can shift your entire day. I no longer beat myself up when I know my body is sick or exhausted and I can’t move my body that day. I no longer have guilt when I go to an event and feed myself without having worked out beforehand. I buy clothes that fit my body type right now, as it is, and feel confident and proud in it! I now respect my body each day by thanking her for being the vessel that allows me to travel through this beautiful life.

This group makes movement realistic, attainable, and FUN! Because it’s a no judgment zone, I feel no guilt or shame when sharing my thoughts and opinions, even if they are different, with Sarah or the other Together girls. Unlike other mainstream fitness culture spaces I have been in, I love that Sarah provides a positive, safe, and exciting place to dissect and unlearn all of the negative habits I’ve been taught in the past. Thank you, Sarah and Together girls, for helping me actually enjoy and appreciate movement again!

I have been working out with Sarah for six years. I began with her in-person, group fitness classes. From day one, I was hooked. Sarah is motivating, encouraging, and extremely knowledgeable. You can tell the time, care, and effort that she takes into planning her weekly classes because each one is so different. I love how she always gave modifications for exercises in case you wanted different intensities or based on physical needs. Even in a group setting Sarah was always differentiating for her participants. Her high energy, fun music, and motivating personality are just some of the reasons her classes were so successful.

Flash forward to Covid when everything about group fitness and in person classes changed. Sarah went out of her way to continue to deliver her amazing workouts to everyone. I will admit that I am a group fitness and in person class fanatic. It was difficult to motivate myself to workout at home alone. I really struggled getting my movement and exercises going during that period. Then I joined Together, and it was a game changer. Sarah would do check-ins often, which would motivate me to get up and move! There was also the group aspect with the monthly check-ins. I always leave those meetings feeling invigorated for the next steps or refreshed and reenergized when I need some encouragement from others.

Together is a positive environment and an important piece in my quest for a healthy lifestyle. Knowing that I have a space to be exactly who I am and not be judged is important. I love being surrounded by like-minded people who are simply trying and doing their best every day. I truly feel that Together is what is keeping me active with two little children at home. It’s still important for me to take time for myself so that I can be a better person for my family not only physically but also mentally. Together is a wonderful place to be!

I choose to be in this space because the mainstream fitness culture is toxic. The fitness culture ‘teaches us’ to eat a certain way, look a certain way, workout for hours, workout to earn your food, etc. This group teaches the opposite. My whole mindset around the diet and fitness culture has changed, and the biggest lesson I’ve learned is that any intentional movement counts.

I love the ladies in the TOGETHER group. It is a great group of people who are very supportive of each other because we are all in this together. I know I can share anything with this group and won’t be judged. I know I will get the support and motivation I need.

I choose to keep coming back and continue being committed to this work because of Sarah. She encourages, motivates, and supports us on this incredible, continuous journey. She is always there to guide us and answer questions. She provides us with modifications for exercises that aren’t working for us. If it wasn’t for Sarah and in-person classes and her videos during the pandemic, I wouldn’t be where I am today!

When I attended my very first of Sarah‘s workout classes about six years ago, I had no idea that I was joining a group that fostered not only movement, but all-around wellness and a strong sense of camaraderie. Sarah’s classes and videos are always fun, engaging, and invigorating, but it’s her kindness and unwavering support that makes me excited to come back and do it all over again.

Through my time with Sarah, I have appreciated myself growing stronger and I enjoy the process of doing so, as her emphasis has always been on listening to one’s body and what it needs in any given moment. Sometimes that means increasing the intensity during a workout when feeling up to it. But sometimes it means taking a step back to rest and rejuvenate. She truly incorporates mental and emotional well-being into her movement philosophy and emphasizes building sustainable habits.

During our group meetings, Sarah talks through each member’s goals for the month and provides useful tips in accomplishing them, but always makes a point to show just how far each person has come, regardless of if they’ve met their goals or not. She is so incredibly kind, supportive, experienced, and knowledgeable in her field. I know I would not be where I am in my movement journey if it wasn’t for Sarah.

After six years of retirement, I am healthier, stronger and more energized than ever. Initially, I joined a plethora of classes, but when I happened upon Chiseled with Sarah, I found that class that did it for me. The strength, conditioning, balance and flexibility components are seamlessly intermeshed that challenge every individual to grow at their own pace, way and capacity. No class is the same except in the aspect of it being a challenge that leaves you feeling accomplished. I welcomed the challenge, so when Covid cancelled our classes, I was frustrated and angry!

Because Sarah is completely committed to those who journey with her, she offered her instruction through videos. The pandemic left people feeling isolated and Sarah provided a beacon of light. She expanded to include the Together membership option with interpersonal communication where we connected with Sarah and members virtually and shared our obstacles and wins in being a healthier version of ourselves during dark times. She also provided various tools to help us set goals, create realistic action steps and reflect on progress weekly. The value in tangibly measuring progress and learning to be more fluid in our expectations of ourselves becomes obvious. The reflection component provides clarity in how we spend our time and energy.

What is vitally unique about Sarah’s approach is she helps us get in touch with our inner voice while shuttering out the cacophony that punches down self-esteem. By learning to measure our personal progress, share what works for others and ourselves, we can quiet those voices that tell us it’s not enough when we have been doing plenty. Moreover, I have learned through Sarah that we need to honor what our bodies need and sometimes it’s rest; slow down, listen to your body and grant yourself grace.

I personally keep a movement journal – I make a few notes of what’s working and what does not serve me. I have discovered seasonal patterns of movement behaviors and subtle shifts that might impact my movement goals. Instead of beating myself up, I understand what got in my way, so I can then mentally step aside and move forward. A bad day or an off month is not a deal breaker on our movement journey.

Like all journeys, they are enriched by supportive companionship. Sarah provides that compassionate mentorship. She has been an anchor for many strong women like me because she is intuitive -a superpower of hers!

Being a member of Sarah’s previous program, REAL Mindset Fitness, has been the best investment of my time in recovering myself and building a more balanced lifestyle over the last six years and will sustain me in years to come. I have found a great program that addresses wholeness of body, mind and soul shepherded by a down-to-earth, charismatic, humorous woman.

I am happier in my body, more balanced in my priorities, and excited to be part of Sarah’s new journey – Inner Fire. Together the peaks are invigorating, the plateaus are temporary, and the valleys not deep enough to diminish the promise of a new start tomorrow – after some rest.

Betsy S.

If you had asked me 3 months ago what was my inner fire, what was my passion, what is inside me driving me, I probably would not have had an answer for you. I needed to find support, gratitude, motivation, and especially someone or something to help with accountability.

I met Sarah years ago. I took multiple group fitness classes that she taught and ended up stopping when I found out I was pregnant in 2018. After having my daughter in 2019, I struggled with many of the difficult physical and emotional issues women deal with once they become mothers. Then covid hit. It was one thing after another – a valid excuse after valid excuse.

Sarah found a way to bring her motivation, compassion, and knowledge into our homes through her creation of Inner Fire. This group of amazing women from all walks of life is more than a fitness routine. This group and Sarah’s dedication to every one of us has impacted our lives in ways we didn’t think could be possible. Sarah has hundreds of videos readily available for use; from Triple Threat, which can get the heart rate up and your body really moving, to Chiseled, which includes toning and weights, to simple 5-minute workouts for days that you may not be able to give as much. Sarah includes tools/tracking sheets so you get the best out of her program.

My favorite thing about Inner Fire and Sarah is how personable she makes this program. I check in with her almost daily to talk about my movement journey, my emotional wellbeing, and she assists with motivation and support in my decisions. I truly would not be on the path I am now without Sarah. Joining this group is honestly a huge part of bettering my life. I encourage everyone to consider joining our group and maybe you’ll find out what sparks your own inner fire.
